The Department of Decision Sciences of The George Washington University’s School of Business invites applications for a tenure track faculty position, at the Assistant Professor level in the area of analytics (with disciplinary focus in one or more of the areas of statistics, machine learning, optimization), to begin as early as Fall 2019. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in data mining, machine learning, statistical modeling, conduct scholarly research leading to publications in top peer-reviewed journals and be actively involved in service to the university and the scholarly community.
Applicants must hold a PhD in management science / operations research, statistics, industrial engineering, computer science, or related interdisciplinary field by date of appointment. ABD applicants will be considered, but must complete all degree requirements for the PhD by date of appointment. Applicants must also demonstrate the potential for outstanding scholarly research and excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
