ITAM is a highly prestigious private, secular, non-profit Mexican institution of higher education located in Mexico City. The Department of Statistics at ITAM invites applications for full-time tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level (4-8 years), with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2023.

We seek candidates with strong research potential in the following areas: statistical methodology, statistical computing, Bayesian statistics, machine learning, time-series econometrics, forecasting, high-dimensional modeling, spatial statistics, networks, etc.
Candidates must demonstrate strong potential for high-quality research. The list of published papers (or expected published papers) will be ranked according to their quartile in international rankings. Candidates should also demonstrate the potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in hand or firmly expected by July 2023.
The compensation package is internationally competitive at the European level and public universities in the U.S. and includes several secondary benefits. Knowledge of Spanish is not required, but we expect candidates to be able to teach in Spanish eventually.
