The School of Business at Örebro University, Sweden, is seeking to appoint two promising early career researchers in statistics or economics. Candidates applying could have a specialization in econometrics/time-series, macroeconomics or financial economics but should work within the broad field of applied time-series.

The post-doctoral researcher positions are fixed term, one running for three years (with a possible extension of three years) and one running for two years. Funding is provided through scholarships from a major Swedish research foundation. Focus will be on conducting high-quality research. Time spent on teaching and supervision will be no more than 30 per cent.

The successful candidates will work within the Division of Statistics or the Division of Economics at the School of Business. These two divisions constitute a common research environment which is currently expanding and has high ambitions. Applied time-series modelling – such as Bayesian VARs – is a strong research field which we now aim to improve even further.

The School of Business at Örebro University has a tradition of research and education in economics, statistics, business and informatics. The school is host to a number of research groups with externally funded research projects. The successful candidate will work within the Macroeconomics and financial econometrics research group (https://www.oru.se/english/schools/Orebro-University-School-of-Business/research/research-teams/RT/?rdb=g320.

The application deadline is November 15, 2023.
