Candidate Statement 2023
I've been working in Bayesian statistics since around 1995 in a variety of settings. My current interests include directional statistics, with applications in geophysics, clustering methods and reliability - the latter being my connection to the Industrial Statistics Section, of which I've been treasurer since 2021. I've been to many of the ISBA meetings over the past 25 years, and am happy to have the opportunity to give something back to ISBA through the role of Treasurer of the IS Section. In a small section like ours we have a great opportunity to connect researchers across the world and get to know each other in person as well as through the pages of journals.
