ISBA Board of Directors

I am honored to be considered for a position on the ISBA Board of Directors and will serve with enthusiasm if elected. I am currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics at Brigham Young University previous to which I was an Assistant Professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and started my career as a visiting Assistant professor at Duke University. My research interest include random partition models, Bayesian nonparametrics (BNP), functional data, sports analytics, spatial confounding, and general Bayesian hierarchical modeling. My service to ISBA to date is being a Committee Member for the 2022 Savage Award and I am currently serving as the chair elect of ISBA's BNP section. I have been a member of ISBA since 2007 and have very much enjoyed being part of the community and the sense of camaraderie felt at the various ISBA activities as we study and employ Bayesian methods to make new discoveries. I do enjoy witnessing the successes of fellow ISBA members and will look to foster and enhance the utility and sense of community that ISBA provides its members.
