Candidate Statement 2023
I am an Assistant Professor at Bocconi University (Milan). My main research focuses on Bayesian Computation, both theory and methodology. In parallel with my computational interest, I am also interested in various aspects of Bayesian modeling and applications. You can find more details at https://sites.google.com/site/gzanellawebpage/.
I am honoured to be a candidate for Program Chair of the Bayesian Computation section of ISBA. I believe that high-quality and well-organised scientific conferences are key to the development of our field. I have participated to multiple ISBA and BayesComp conferences and found them extremely useful and enjoyable, both from a scientific and a networking point of view. If elected, I will do my best to contribute making forthcoming events, especially BayesComp 2025, a great and fruitful occasion for all participants!
