The International Society for Bayesian Analysis (ISBA) is seeking nominations and applications for three editorial positions: Bayesian Analysis Editor in Chief, Editor of ISBA Bulletin and Web Editor.  Descriptions of each position, along with application instructions, are below.

Bayesian Analysis Editor-in-Chief

Description: Bayesian Analysis is the premier venue for scientific publications that demonstrate or discuss Bayesian methods in a theoretical or applied context.  Bayesian Analysis is published online by Project Euclid as a free access publication, thanks to the support of ISBA. The Editor in Chief of Bayesian Analysis oversees the peer-review process for all papers submitted for publication.  The EiC is the head of an editorial board that includes ten editors and about forty associate editors. Duties include (i) prescreening papers for suitability for publication in Bayesian Analysis, (ii) assigning suitable papers to editors and associate editors for peer-review, (iii) editing peer- and editor-reviews of submitted papers to decide final suitability of papers for publication and (iv) interacting with the publishing formatting companies for the actual production of the journal.

Qualifications: Strong background in theoretical and applied Bayesian methodology as demonstrated by consistent scientific publications in this field, ability to organize and streamline the peer-review process and a strong reputation among the Bayesian community.

Editor, ISBA Bulletin

Description: The International Society for Bayesian Analysis (ISBA) publishes a quarterly bulletin to its members with content including, but not limited to, a message from the president, updates on the journal Bayesian Analysis, information on upcoming meetings and various scientific highlights.  The Editor of the ISBA Bulletin is responsible for coordinating the team of associate editors to solicit relevant articles for the publication and editing the content for correctness.  The editor then compiles the articles into the final bulletin.

Qualifications: Strong reliability, easily contacted, LaTeX (what is currently used) or equivalent.  Ideas about what ISBA members would be interested in reading.

To Apply: Send a short CV (or link to one) and 1 paragraph statement to beatrix.jones@auckland.ac.nz  The statement should briefly detail relevant qualifications for the position and any ideas for improvement of the Bulletin. Expressions of interest for Associate Editor roles are also welcome.

Web Editor, ISBA

Description: The Web Editor for the International Society for Bayesian Analysis (ISBA) will maintain the ISBA website and oversee all content contained and posted to the society’s website.

Qualifications: Understanding of ISBA’s operations; experience using WordPress (or other content management system), HTML, CSS, php and Javascript is encouraged but not required.
