Nominations are now being accepted for new ISBA Fellows. Nominees must be current ISBA members and should have been members for the last three consecutive years, at least. The individual’s contributions should have had a significant impact in promoting Bayesian ideas and methods in society, through research and other activities, such as teaching, consulting or service.
Nominations may be made by any current ISBA member. To avoid conflicts of interest, nominations or letters in support of a nomination from a current Fellows Committee member will not be accepted. Self-nominations or letters in support of one’s own nomination are not allowed.
Please prepare nominations as a single pdf file following the convention LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME.pdf so the file name corresponds to the nominee and then email them to firstname.lastname@example.org. The nomination must include:
- A nominating letter with both the nominator’s and nominee’s names and email addresses and a citation to be used if the nomination is successful
- The nominee’s current CV
- Three letters of support from ISBA members in addition to the nominator’s letter, that address the criteria for ISBA Fellow.
Beginning this year, nominations for ISBA Fellows will be valid for two rounds. This means that nominations for candidates who are not selected the first time will be automatically resubmitted, with no action required by the nominator, for the following round.
Nominations must be received on or before August 31, 2021. The new fellows will be announced at the 2022 ISBA World Meeting in Montreal, Canada in June of 2022. Please contact Alicia Carriquiry (email@example.com), Chair of the ISBA Fellows Committee, with any questions
