Candidate Statement 2023
I am honored to be nominated to run for the position of EFaB Chair-Elect. It is an exciting time to be a Bayesian in economics and finance. Because of the Bayesian paradigm, major advancements in model building, estimation, and evaluation have been achieved with important applications to economics, public policy, and financial markets.

If elected, I will contribute to the section by fulfilling my Chair-Elect duties, ensuring the visibility and involvement of the EFaB section with economic and ISBA communities, and actively working to build a strong future for EFaB.

[BIO] I am an associate professor of economics at Claremont McKenna College. My research focuses on Bayesian econometrics, specifically, limited dependent variable settings in multivariate and sample selection models. I apply these simulation-based frameworks to evaluate central bank policy, financial stability, and bank behavior during financial crises.
