SUMMARY:2026 Örebro workshop on Macro- and Financial Econometrics
DESCRIPTION:The School of Business at Örebro University arranges the eight two-day workshop on macro- and financial econometrics. The workshop will cover a broad range of topics\, both theoretical and empirical. These include\, but are not restricted to: \n• Business cycles\n• Monetary policy\n• Interest rate modelling\n• Macro-financial linkages\n• Volatility and risk modelling\n• Prediction and forecasting\n• Non-Gaussian models\n• Bayesian econometrics \nKeynote Speakers\nHedibert Freitas Lopes\, Insper\nSylvia Kaufmann\, Study Center Gerzensee \nParticipation\nThe papers presented at the workshop will be chosen based on a review process. We encourage submissions of research at an early stage since such work typically will benefit most from open and informal discussion. \nSubmission procedure\nThe submission deadline is the 1st of September. Send papers in pdf format to finecon@oru.se. By the 15th of September\, we will let you know if your paper is accepted for presentation. \nWorkshop fee\nThe workshop is free of charge. Funding permitting\, limited travel grants will be available for presenting early-career researchers. Indicate if you want to be considered for a travel grant with your paper submission. \nConference venue\nThe conference will take place at the main campus of Örebro University. \nImportant dates\nSeptember 1 Deadline for manuscript submission\nSeptember 15 Notification if paper has been accepted\nRegistration opens\nOctober 19 Deadline for registration \nAdditional information\nSee the workshop website https://www.oru.se/hh/finecon-2026 or send an email to finecon@oru.se. \nFinancial support from Handelsbankens forskningsstiftelser (Jan Wallander and Tom Hedelius foundation\, Tore Browalds foundation) is gratefully acknowledged.

SUMMARY:LACSC-TIES-EnviBayes-EnvrASA 2026
DESCRIPTION:An international conference jointly organised by: \nLatin American Regional Section of the International Association for Statistical Computing (IASC-LARS ISI) \nMexican Association of Statistics / Asociación Mexicana de Estadística (AME) \nInternational Environmetrics Society (TIES) \nSection on Environmental Sciences of the International Society for Bayesian Analysis (EnviBayes ISBA) \nSection on Statistics and the Environment of the American Statistical Association (ENVR ASA). \nTheme/Vision: CLIMATE CHANGE IN 2026 \nWe envision a future where diverse fields of knowledge converge to address environmental challenges with innovative\, holistic\, and sustainable solutions. Through collaboration across environmental statistics\, data science\, and computing disciplines – we strive to foster a deep understanding of ecological systems\, human impact\, equitable\, and explainable solutions. By bridging expertise and perspectives\, we empower communities\, institutions\, and industries to create a resilient\, sustainable\, thriving planet for future generations. \nEvent goals: \nTo provide an opportunity for sharing knowledge\, collective learning\, and collaboration between researchers and practitioners in academia\, government\, industry\, for addressing current and future problems\, issues\, and policies in environmental statistics\, data science\, and computing. \nEncourage membership recruitment\, volunteer participation of students and early-career individuals in committees\, current/future activities of the organizing societies.

SUMMARY:VIII Latin American Meeting on Bayesian Statistics
DESCRIPTION:The COBAL-EBEB 2027 is an international scientific event that brings together the VIII Latin American Meeting on Bayesian Statistics (COBAL) and the XVIII Brazilian Meeting on Bayesian Statistics (EBEB). Scheduled to take place from March 1 to 5\, 2027\, in Búzios\, Rio de Janeiro\, Brazil. The event will gather the Bayesian community—particularly from Brazil and Latin America—further consolidating its role as an important forum for scientific exchange. \nCOBAL is promoted by the International Society for Bayesian Analysis (ISBA)\, with the support of several Latin American statistical associations\, including those from Brazil\, Chile\, Colombia\, and Mexico. Its primary goal is to strengthen the integration of Latin American researchers working in Bayesian Statistics. EBEB\, in turn\, has been organized biennially by Brazilian researchers since 1991 and\, since 2000\, by ISBrA (the Brazilian chapter of ISBA). It has played a central role in the consolidation of Bayesian Statistics in Brazil while progressively expanding its international reach. The joint realization of both events enhances their visibility and impact by fostering the convergence of different communities around shared challenges and advances.
