Postdoctoral researcher in network analysis, University of Washington Dept. of Statistics
The Department of Statistics at the University of Washington is seeking highly qualified candidates for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the areas of Bayesian analysis, statistical machine learning and analysis of complex social networks. The position will also be affiliated with the Center for the Statistics and the Social Sciences at the University of Washington and involve strong collaborations with faculty in the Department of Biostatistics. This is a two-year position, subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding.
The successful candidate should have completed a Ph.D. (or be on track to complete by January 2013) in statistics, computer science or related field and possess a strong record of research in machine learning, statistics, and/or social/complex networks, evidenced by high quality publications, as well as good communication and team work skills, and be able to lead research and develop ideas independently. Strong background in statistics/math and good programming skills are highly desirable.
Salary range to be determined based on qualifications.
