ISBA Prizes and Awards
Prizes
ISBA co-sponsors a variety of awards for outstanding contributions in the field of Bayesian statistical analysis, including:
- The DeGroot Prize (for a book in statistical science)
- The Lindley Prize (for a contributed paper at an ISBA world meeting)
- The Mitchell Prize (for a Bayesian analysis of an important applied problem)
- The Savage Award (for outstanding doctoral dissertations).
ISBA Bylaw C established a six-person ISBA Prize Committee, which in turn appoints Award Committees for each prize.
ISBA Awards
ISBA maintains a number of funds to offer travel awards, including the Pilar Iglesias award for young researchers from developing countries and the Lifetime Members Award for all young researchers, intended to recognize the contributions to ISBA by its Life Members.
